Book Review: The Catcher in the Rye

So I just recently finished reading The Catcher in the Rye and wanted to make a book review about it. First of all, I didn't expect it to be really nice, I even thought it would be boring cause it's a classic and such. You can say I was really surprised because I came to loving it. And I mean really loving it.

It's a very realistic book that talks about teenage confusion, life, and the main character's point of view. It's such a fun read because as a teenager, i can totally relate to it. it's not like one of those teenage drama crap that talks about love and all or those mystery crimes or wuddyacallit. It's more of realizing what life really is. the main character/narrator, Holden Caulfield, is really witty. he talks about what he likes and hates and be very descriptive about it and makes you realize things and say something like, 'hey!! that IS true!', or something. In a certain part, he would tell you something that points out the reason why the book's title is what it is and lemme tell you, it's quite interesting. The funny thing is, this book doesn't really have a point. It simply talks about what he does and what his interests are and i guess that's why I like it. It's different. It depicts life.

It's very quotable too. wise words, actually. It really does mean something true and not fiction or whatever. sayings like: "Dont ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody" and "I have one of those very loud, stupid laughs. I mean if I were in a movie or something, I'd probably tell myself to please shut up" and "You dont know what interests you most til you start talking about something that doesn't interests you most'  and a whole lot more. I really recommend it for y'all to read it. Nice read. It's such a feel-good book and if you want to take a break from all the fiction, drama, and whatever books, try reading this for a change. It will deffo make you smile and change your point of view in life even.
